Leadership Update

With mixed emotions, the Changing Ways Board of Directors announces that our Executive Director, Tim Smuck, has accepted a new position as the Director of Life Stabilization for the City of London. In his new role, Tim will provide strategic leadership to help transform social assistance services to London's most vulnerable and ensure more holistic and reflective services. While we are thrilled about Tim's new opportunity and the positive contributions he will make, we also feel a sense of loss as he prepares to depart from our team.

We are immensely grateful for Tim's profound and enduring contributions during his tenure at Changing Ways. He has developed innovative services and programs to address intimate partner violence, led and guided a new five-year strategic plan built on a foundation of collaboration, and strengthened our position in the community through new and enhanced partnerships. Above all, Tim has empowered and supported the staff team, fortifying our organization's culture, and ensuring Changing Ways' strength and continuity.

Tim reflects on his time at Changing Ways, "It has been a true privilege to collaborate with a committed team and community partners dedicated to combating gender-based violence for our clients. My journey with Changing Ways has been transformative, and I deeply appreciate every moment spent with this agency and team."

Tim's final day with Changing Ways will be May 10th. A recruitment plan is in place to find Changing Ways' next Executive Director, and the board has developed a robust transition plan to ensure the agency continues to support the people and the communities we serve.
